THE BUILDING CONSULTANCY SPECIALISTS

Our Team

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Best Inspections was established by its founders and current Directors Brad Scott & Cindy Innes in January of 1990. We recognised this industry was greatly fragmented and deregulated allowing inspectors to produce substandard reports

We had extensive and high level experience within both building industry and IT (computer) industries which we combined to create onsite inspections and report formats that have been ahead of industry standards from inception.

Since 1990 Dilapidation & Property Condition Reports have grown to 90 percent of our business model.

We have always been passionate about providing the most detailed, comprehensive onsite inspections and reports within the inspection industry.

We have built a team of inspectors that are of the highest standard within our industry with engineering and building backgrounds and qualifications.

We have never advertised, and our business has grown year after year by referral and word of mouth only. We are proud to have clients that have been with us since 1990.

Many companies have attempted to replicate our reports, however without ongoing and authentic success.  It is not possible to replicate our passion and combined experience for providing the best onsite inspections and reports available.

Please do not hesitate to contact us and ask any questions. We are more than happy to help.

WHY BEST INSPECTIONS?

  • Before you choose the right professionals to carry out dilapidation services for your project, you need consider are their reports court tested, what long term experience, industry reputation, skillset and client services do they provide.

  • Our specialised software, personalised inspection app, high resolution/megapixel cameras, produce reports of the highest industry quality.

  • Our inspection team have experience within the small claims tribunals and court system which is highly important when inspecting and preparing these reports.

  • Our structural engineers can provide forensic reports on defects and their causes should issues arise, as well as many other styles of reports.

  • Government infrastructure projects form a large part of our business. This history of projects provides us with skill and ability to cater for any client and project size.

  • Our dilapidation & property condition reports are prepared by our building experts who can identify any pre-existing conditions such as tilting, heaving, subsidence, cracking, misalignment, water ingress or concerns that otherwise may be missed. Regardless of whether your property has common/adjoining walls with other properties or whether it’s freestanding, our dilapidation & property condition report will put your mind at ease due to our reports being court tested.

  • We cross check all findings and photos within the pre-construction reports against the post construction reports when conducting a post dilapidation & property condition report.

  • Our comprehensive reports are highly valuable in verifying pre-existing conditions should the need arise in the case of a claim. A postconstruction report also involves an on-site inspection after work has been completed. Any changes or damages caused by heavy machinery or excavation to council-owned assets or other adjoining property is documented and is supported by photographic evidence.
